M26 Dragon Wagon Tank Transporter Model. This is a model of the 12-ton 6x6 M26 "Dragon Wagon" tractor coupled to an M15A1 trailer. Built by Pacific Car & Foundry, this combination could haul equipments up to 140,000 pounds (70 tons), although it was officially rated at much less. Total production of this iconic vehicle between 1943 and 1945 was 1,373 units. The tractor was 25½ feet long and the entire vehicle was over 61 feet long. With an immense 1,090 cu in engine with 12 forward speeds, the top speed was a modest 28 mph. The Model is in a small 1:87 scale (HO gauge), 8.5" long and is accurate down to the smallest detail. The included packet of tiny parts (and instructions) have not been put on so you can add the machine gun, chains, grab handles, and more to have a super detailed model. Made by ROCO, Germany, in their Minitanks HO gauge line (cat. 179) is BRAND NEW in the original orange box. They are not widely available in the USA; in Europe, they sell for $25 and up.
