Russian BTR-60BP Armored Personnel Carrier ~ 1:43 Scale
Diecast ~ Brand New in Box

Russian BTR-60BP Armored Personnel Carrier. This precision 1:43 diecast model made by Arsenal MV Frunze, USSR in the mid-1980s is a limited edition in the "Russian Collector Series." Dimensions are 5" length x 3" width x 1.5" height. The model is BRAND NEW in the original box.

The BTR-60 is the first vehicle in a series of Soviet eight-wheeled armored personnel carriers (APCs). It was seen in public for the first time in 1961. BTR stands for Bronetransporter (literally "armored transporter"). The BTR-60 looked like an MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) with a sloped hull with openings for the massive wheels. It had compartments for the crew (front), troops (center) and engine (rear). It was quite revolutionary for the time. It could carry a squad of 8 to 10 soldiers at speeds up to 50 miles per hour, and was armed with 14.5mm and 7.62mm machine guns in a revolving turret.
