1942 Dodge WC56 Command Car. Precision 1:43 scale. This diecast model, made in France, has the usual superb detail of Solido. Model is BRAND NEW in the original box and also includes an information card and a sheet of decals so you can add markings as you wish. The top is removable so you can display this as an open vehicle if you wish. Solido made this 50th anniversay model in 1995 for only one year. Because of this short production run, Solido lists it as a limited edition and is VERY SCARCE today. Solido Model no. 6110.

This WC series 3/4-ton vehicle replaced the earlier ½-ton Dodge command cars. It was more rugged and 27,000 were produced (3 variants) from April 1942 to late 1944. Model is in desert tan and, according to the enclosed information card, it took part in the Libyan campaign led by British troops aided by the allies against the combined Italian and German armies, including Rommel's Afrikakorps.
