2014 USMC Toys for Tots Train
Special Information for Rail Enthusiasts
In 2013, five railroads assisted on the Toys for Tots Train project. The train made 12 scheduled stops and collected more than 11,000 toys for the Toys for Tots program of U.S. Marine Company G, 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines at Picatinny Arsenal, Dover, NJ.
Again in 2014 with the help of NJ Transit, Norfork Southern, Morristown & Erie, Susquehanna, and Middletown & New Jersey Railroads the trains will make more than 15 stops: Saturday, Dec. 6 on the NY Susquehanna & Western line, Sunday, Dec. 7 on the Middletown & New Jersey line and on Saturday, Dec. 13 on the High Bridge and D&R branches of the Morristown & Erie Railway.
As we learn when, where, and with what equipment the trains will be moved before, during, and after the runs, it will be posted here.
