WWII War Bond (War Loan) Drives         The US Government organized a series of eight War Bond (or War Loan) drives. The First War Loan ran from Nov 30, 1942 to Dec 23, 1942, while the last drive, the Eighth or Victory Loan drive, ran from Oct 29, 1945 through Dec 8, 1945. This is a selection of 171 covers with cachets or cancels noting the War Bond effort. The first 43 covers note a specific drive (3rd to 7th), while the rest are on the general theme.           Please order by cover number. Prices are cheap! They're way under dealer and auction prices. All covers will be sent by first class or Priority Mail.
