The Best of Wonder Wart-Hog, Vol III
1973 ~ 8.5 VF+ ~ Underground

The Best of Wonder Wart-Hog, Vol III ~ 1973 ~ 8.5 VF+ ~ The Print Mint. My grading is very conservative and most sellers would grade this higher. Bright colors; binding good; b&w interior perfect; a few minor wrinkles at top left and middle right edge, slight stress at binding edge; otherwise a NM copy. Issue in 2-mil archival poly bag with stiffener. Image shows the actual comic you will get (it is NOT a stock photo).

Issue highlights: 50¢: cover price with 60¢ sticker. Art by Gilbert Shelton. Apparently early reprints from Texas Ranger, 1962-63, although not acknowledged. This is Gilbert Shelton at his creative cartooning start -- nothing compares! Wonder Wart-Hog stories by Gilbert Shelton include: The Wird Ones, The Year They Blew Christmas, The Name Game, and stories by Shelton and Tony Bell include: The Comet Insurance Man (with Tony Bell), A Concession Stand, Builds a Dream Car, and Meets the International Order of Bomb-Flinging Fiends. Note: trim height is much small on Vol III (9.3" compared to 10.0" on previous two issues).
