Shatter: The First Computerized Comic ~ June 1985
9.4 NM ~ Underground

Shatter: The First Computerized Comic #1 ~ June 1985 ~ 9.4 NM ~ First Comics. My grading is very conservative and most sellers would grade this higher. Bright colors; binding fine; color interior perfect; no visible flaws; virtually a Mint copy. Issue in 2-mil archival poly bag with stiffener. Image shows the actual comic you will get (it is NOT a stock photo).

Issue highlights: $1.75 cover price. The first true digital comic, this special, like a TV pilot, introduced the art and the story of Shatter a full six months before First launched the regular series. Artist Mike Saenz created the graphics for Shatter on a first-generation Apple Macintosh, with its clunky, squarish mouse, long before tablets, styli, or Photoshop. The results are quite effective for this Blade Runner-like tale of futuristic corporate crime, introducing Sadr Shatter Morales, hero of the series that followed. Script by Peter B. Gillis. Full color. 32 pages, heavy paper stock. "One Shot" printing. Don't confuse the computerized "One-Shot" version of this comic with the "standard" art version released 6 months later; artwork and coloration are quite different.
