Kurtz Komix ~ Intro: R. Crumb ~ Sept 1976
9.0 VF/NM ~ Underground

Kurtzman Komix ~ Sept 1976 ~ 9.0 VF/NM ~ Kitchen Sink Enterprises. My grading is very conservative and most sellers would grade this higher. Bright colors; binding good; b&w interior perfect; tiny crease lower right corner, tendency to roll at binding edge; otherwise a Mint copy. Issue in 2-mil archival poly bag with stiffener. Image shows the actual comic you will get (it is NOT a stock photo).

Issue highlights: $1.00 cover price. Art by Harvey Kurtzman, well-known to readers of Mad, Trump, Help and other E.C. comics and zines. His background and more is told by R. Crumb in a full-page introduction. Comic is printed on high-quality white paper, not newsprint. The actual name of this is Kurtzman Komix, but most people refer to it as Kurtz Komix because Harvey Kurtzman signs his name "Kurtz" followed by a stick figure of a man = "Kurtzman." An absolute classic! 1st printing.
